Warning: This trailer will trigger wanderlust.

Big News!

If you're reading this, chances are you have probably already heard our big news... Doug has accepted a position with the State Department & he will be joining the Foreign Service!  Our family will be moving from Peoria, Illinois to the Washington, D.C. area where Doug will complete training before we are posted overseas.

Here are a few questions people have been asking:

Q:  What the what?
A:  We know?!?  How exciting is this?!? We are thrilled for the adventures that await & the life our children will have the privilege of experiencing!  This journey is a HUGE step of faith for us... but we are confident that it's God's plan for our lives.  We realize that it probably won't be all sunshine & roses, we know there will be (very hard) challenges ahead (travel w/ children anyone?!) but this is an opportunity we just couldn't pass up!

Q:  How long will you be in DC?
A:  We have no idea.  :)  The training Doug will be doing in DC will be determined by the location of our first post - certain posts will require more training while others will require less.

Q:  Where are you going after DC?
A:  We have no idea.  :)  We've been told that we'll know this information a few weeks into initial training in DC.  The options are limitless!

Q:  What will you do with all your stuff?
A:  State Department will pack us up here in Peoria & put most of our stuff in storage until we leave for our post abroad.  Our stuff will follow us wherever we end up.

Q:  What can I do to help?
A:  PRAY!  Please!  Pray for us, for our children, for those we leave behind, & for those we have yet to meet.  & stay in touch!  Skype us, e-mail us, Facebook us, send us mail, VISIT US!
